Veritas has no accountability and poor management as an employer, an anonymous ex-employee shared at kununu.com
"No accountability and lack of support from upper management. The current CISCO is very good at managing upward, while he treats his team members (specifically women) with little or no respect. Many complaints have been issued with HR, but little action has been taken. There are no procedures or processes in place on how to complete projects. No departmental gates/requirements/milestones to move a project forward. I felt that the elimination of the PMO without having a clear plan of how to address internal processes/procedures was the wrong move. A very in-mature organization."
Sr Technical Support Engineer (Former Employee) says"I joined Veritas right after it branched off from Symantec. Initially, there’s a lot of positive energy and optimism, but when the CEO was replaced three years later, the company became like a butcher place. Every quarter there was a layoff. Projects were canceled, New management brought in their own teams. It is no surprise; the company's losing business. Minority employees are also not treated fairly and are overlooked when it comes to advancement opportunities. If you are a minority, my recommendation is to stay away from this company. Cons: Poor Management and Leadership, Mico-management, Limited no advancement opportunity for minority employees."
Sales Representative (Former Employee) says"Would not recommend this company to friends, I find a lack of vision in the organisation.Management are very pushy and will go to any lengthsto make their numbers"

Cons: Everything about the company! Don't work for this company!!"
Movie Theater Counter (Former Employee) says"This job ain’t with even doing - don’t get paid much at all - have to wear a professional stuff outfit & no badge , the people who worked in the movie theatre didn’t know who I was. Cons: Stuffy outfit to wear, terrible pay & managers mistrusting of your work or job."

Director - Channel Ops and Partner Programs (Former Employee) says"Symantec completed the merge with Veritas in 2006. In 2015 Symantec and Veritas separated. As a joint company and now as a separate company, the company is focusing on a solid vision, achievable goals and an operating plan that supports them. Recently the company has had high management turnover and has converted to many new business management systems. Veritas is continuing to focus on a strategy and operational plan that will work and get them to the profitability level they need to achieve for the managing VC firm. Cons: High management turn over, poor business systems, and losing market share"
Product Manager (Current Employee) says"Leadership doesn't have a clue and they don't ask for input or listen if you happen to catch them. This is a sinking ship led by Private Equity owners needs. They do not have a strategy, other than get their Private Equity owners their money back. They don't make decisions based on what would be good for a growing, healthy & sustainable business. They don't make decisions that are good for customers or employees. It's just a paycheck, and even then you don't know for how long because there are almost quarterly layoffs happening. STAY AWAY!!! Cons: The products are bad, the leadership is bad, the culture is bad, career progression is impossible unless you're in MTV office"
